Description

A veritable transition zone between Provence to the south and the Pre-Alps to the north, between Mediterranean terroir and pre-Alpine ambience, the region explored offers a variety of pleasures and reveals many facets: the city of Vaison la Romaine with its remarkable ancient and medieval past, prestigious vineyards (Gigondas and Beaume de Venise AOC Côtes du Rhône), olive growing with a renowned terroir (AOC Nyons), spectacular natural and scenic surroundings (Dentelles de Montmirail, Mount Ventoux and its summit, the Baronnies), an original discovery of local fauna (the colony of griffon vultures at Rémuzat), typical Provencal villages.
The Mount Ventoux, near or far, is always in the background of our stay, from its nearby North face in Buis to the more distant mountains of the Baronnies.
