Description

Day 1: Arrival at Bali airport and transfer to Mengwi, 3 nights in a double room at Umasari Rice Terrace Villa.

Day 2: A day at leisure without a guide or car… A gentle start to your holiday, relaxation, swimming pool and massage after a long journey… Possibility of taking a walk in the rice fields and villages around your hotel in the company of a local guide, cycling to the Tanah Lot temple, taking part in a cooking class or traditional dance class. Overnight at Umasari Rice Terrace Villa.

Day 3: Late morning departure for a short walk in the Jatiluwih rice fields, classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Then visit the Batukaru temple set in the middle of a tropical forest. Finish your day with a swim in the hot springs of Penatahan. Return to your hotel. Overnight at Umasari Rice Terrace Villa.

Day 4: Depart in the morning for a walk in the Belimbing region, famous for its rice terraces, coffee and cocoa plantations and fruit trees. Then visit a Buddhist monastery, a haven of peace with its large reclining Buddha statue. Then drive along the picturesque roads of this region and pass by a giant sacred Bunut Bolong tree before arriving at your seaside hotel, Puri Dajuma Beach Eco – Resort and Spa.

Day 5: Visit the Pura Rambut Siwi temple on the shores of the Indian Ocean and enjoy a magnificent view of the rice paddies and the sea. Then head to Bali’s largest fishing port in the village of Pengambengan, where you can watch traditional fishermen at work and admire their magnificent, colourful boats, before visiting the churches in the village of Melaya, which take their architecture from Balinese Hindu temples. Spend 2 nights by the sea in the village of Pemuteran at the Pondok Sari hotel.

Day 6: A day at leisure without a guide or car… possibility of organising a diving trip to Menjangan Island or a walk in Bali Barat National Park. Overnight at Pondok Sari.

Day 7: In the morning, visit a turtle hatchery. Head to the village of Banjar and visit the Buddhist temple of Brahma Vihara Arama before taking a dip in the village’s hot springs. A short stop at Lovina for a walk on the beach and a swim before returning to your hotel located on the hill in the village of Sambangan. 2 nights at Shanti Natural Panorama Hotel.

Day 8: Morning walk to the most beautiful waterfalls on the island, Sekumpul waterfall. Then visit the Beji temple in the village of Sangsit. Return to your hotel for the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay. Shanti Natural Panorama Hotel

Day 9: Wake up early to watch the sunrise in the middle of the sea, accompanied by dolphins and followed by snorkelling. Depart for the lakes region, taking advantage of your first stop to go for a walk in the forest and cross Lake Tamblingan in a traditional pirogue. Then visit the famous Ulun danu Beratan temple on the shores of Lake Beratan. Then transfer to Ubud where you will spend 3 nights at Tegal Sari Accomodation.

Day 10: Visit Ubud’s monkey forest, before heading to Tampaksiring. Visit the royal temple of Gunung Kawi and the sacred baths of Tirta Empul. Return to Ubud to enjoy a Balinese body treatment (a traditional massage followed by a scrub using natural products and a flower bath). Overnight at Tegal Sari Accommodation in Ubud

Day 11: A day at leisure without a guide or car… Discover Ubud town centre on your own… You can go rafting, take part in a cooking class or go for a bike ride. Overnight at Tegal Sari Accommodation Ubud.

Day 12: Departure for France… A head full of memories and the desire to return.
