Description

Minimum number of people : 2

The Sinai adventure offers nature’s beauty, whether it is the sea and colourful underwater world, long sandy beaches, the vibrant desert with canyons and oases, or the high mountains in the heart of Sinai. You will not be bored on this journey, as there will be plenty of opportunities for swimming and hiking, all of which can be tailored to your abilities and physical fitness. Your journey begins in Sharm el-Sheikh, where you will equip yourself with everything needed for the trip. Camping on the beach in Ras Mohammed National Park will amaze you with its coral reefs, colourful fish less than twenty meters from your tent, pristine coral reefs nearby, and walks along the sandy beach. Then, your path takes you into the heart of the rocky mountains to St. Catherine, where, in addition to shorter walks, you can also climb Mount Sinai and watch the sunrise. The exciting jeep ride through the colourful desert, descent, and walk through the White Canyon, followed by a rest in a green oasis, lead you back to the sea. On the coast of Abu Galum National Park, there is another opportunity for snorkelling, and at the end, you will take a walk along the picturesque coastal path to the famous Blue Hole. You will conclude your journey by wandering through Dahab, an easygoing town with a seaside promenade full of cafes, restaurants, and shops.

Day 1: Arrival at Sharm el-Sheikh

At Sharm el-Sheikh Airport, a representative from the RTS agency will be waiting for you. They will take you to your hotel and assist you with check-in. Your stay at the hotel includes all-inclusive meals and overnight accommodation.

Day 2: Sharm el-Sheikh – Ras Mohammed National Park

After breakfast, a representative from the RTS agency will be waiting for you at the hotel reception. They will assist you with the hotel check-out process and introduce you to the guide who will accompany you on your journey. Your first stop will be at the Old Market, where you can rent snorkelling equipment and purchase various camping supplies (e.g., alcohol, fruits, snacks). You will also have the opportunity to visit a recently completed mosque and enjoy a drink at one of the many cafés. Next, you will head to Ras Mohammed National Park and a Bedouin camp on the beach, just a few meters from the sea, coral reefs, and colourful fish. You will stay in a tent and, after lunch, have time for swimming, snorkelling, walks on the sandy beach, and admiring the desert colours during the sunset. After dinner, you can sit by the campfire and stargaze under the clear night sky. You will spend the night in tents in the camp.

Day 3: Ras Mohammed National Park

After breakfast, you will visit the coral reef in the nearby Ras Ghoslani Bay. You can go on foot (about a 1.5-hour walk, 5–6 km) or by vehicle. After snorkelling, you will visit the national park’s visitor centre, where you will receive more information about the park and its underwater world. Then, you will return to your camp for lunch. The afternoon is dedicated to enjoying the warm sun, whether it is sunbathing, resting in the shade, or swimming and snorkelling. Everything is within reach. In the late afternoon, you will walk to a viewpoint to witness the sunset. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 4: Ras Mohammed National Park – St. Catherine

After breakfast, you will visit the mangroves and the Magic Lake, then climb to a viewpoint on a rocky hill along the coast. Upon returning to the camp, there will be time for sunbathing and swimming before lunch. After lunch, you will embark on a scenic journey through the Sinai Mountains to the heart of the Sinai Peninsula, Saint Catherine. Upon arriving at a Bedouin camp in Saint Catherine, you will walk to a viewpoint for the sunset. Dinner and an overnight stay in stone bungalows. The rest will be short for the most enthusiastic hikers as they will begin a sunrise hike to Mount Sinai (2285m) around 2:00, taking approximately 2 to 3 hours.

Day 5: St. Catherine – White Canyon – Blue Lagoon – Abu Galum National Park

After breakfast, you will visit St. Catherine’s Monastery. Then, you will be driven to a point where you will switch to jeeps and travel through the desert to the edge of the White Canyon. Those who are adventurous can descend into the canyon and take a walk to the Ain Khudra oasis (Green Eye), while others will ride jeeps to the oasis after viewing the canyon from the top. There will be time for lunch and relaxation amidst the greenery in the oasis. Afterwards, you will continue towards the sea along a picturesque route carved by water among the rocks. This path leads the water to the sea during rare heavy rains. The first stop on the coast will be at the Blue Lagoon, a favourite spot for kiteboarders to showcase their skills. Then, you will be taken to the camp in Abu Galum. Enjoy a swim in the sea, dinner, and an overnight stay in the camp, either in wooden or bamboo huts.

Day 6: Abu Galum National Park

Free time for swimming, snorkelling, and relaxation on the beach. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided at the camp. Overnight at the camp.

Day 7: Abu Galum National Park – Blue Hole – Dahab

After breakfast, you will walk (or take a boat ride) to the Blue Hole, Sinai’s most famous diving spot. You will have free time for snorkelling, and then you will have lunch. After lunch, you will head to Dahab. If anyone is interested, you can also ride a camel part of the way (for an additional fee). In Dahab, you can enjoy numerous cafes, restaurants, and shops and choose a restaurant for dinner (not included in the price). You will spend the night at a hotel in Dahab.
